Stay Informed
It’s one thing to have educating the gardening public as a cornerstone of our mission. But, to paraphrase a saying popularized by the 1989 movie Field of Dreams, “If you build it, they will NOT come”…unless we get the word out! Our Communications/Marketing team works hard to keep you in the loop regarding MMGA programs that are available to the public, including the following:
Outreach initiatives: Ask-a-Master-Gardener tables (AAMGs), Soil pH Testing events, lectures by Speakers Bureau members, and Helpline services
Educational programs: our annual fall Massachusetts Gardening Symposium, Master Gardener Certification Program, semi-annual Home Gardener Boot Camp Program and seasonally-focused Gardening Know-How Series
How can you stay informed?
Subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter, The Dirt – Be among the first to know whenever we open registration for new programs. The newsletter also includes monthly gardening resources and tips, a Plant-of-the-Month profile, and “How-To” articles and “Recommendations” written by senior Master Gardeners. Over 4,500 gardeners have already subscribed, and we’d love to include you, too, on our list.
“Like” our Facebook page – Twice daily we post gardening/ horticultural content curated from respected online sources. There’s a “Plant of the Week,” and we also post AAMGs/ Soil pH Testing events, as well as Speakers Bureau lectures that are open to the public. It’s a great way for you to stay on top of best practices and new findings in the broader gardening community as well as MMGA offerings right here at home.
