Impacts

We Make a Difference!

MMGA members strive to have a positive impact on their communities, our commonwealth, and the world. Here are some facts and figures that highlight our impact:

  • Outreach: Since 2014, members have volunteered more than 7,000 hours at gardening expos, fairs, farmers markets, plant sales, and children's activities to share our love and knowledge of horticulture.

  • Gardening: Since 2014, members have volunteered more than 23,000 hours gardening at Massachusetts Horticulture Society's Garden at Elm Bank in Wellesley and other approved garden sites throughout the state to beautify and maintain plantings. These include arboretums, botanical gardens, food pantry gardens, historical gardens, wildlife gardens and sanctuaries, and public/community gardens.
