We Make a Difference!

Our Community Impact in 2025

Massachusetts Master Gardeners are dedicated volunteers.  We strive to have a positive impact on the communities where we work and live.   Here are some facts and figures that highlight our impact:

• Outreach: We volunteered more than 3,094 hours at gardening expos, fairs, farmers markets, plant sales, school gardens alone

• Gardening: We volunteered more than 9,789 hours at affiliated sites to beautify and maintain plantings and to address food justice in underserved communities

• That's a total of 12,833 hours

• In dollar terms we delivered 12,883 hours x $42/hr* or the equivalent of $541,086 to our communities

• Grants & Scholarships: Since 2023 we have granted about $62,000 to External Partners and new MGCP students
